Bob.

This is Bob (imagine it said in the voice of Mr. Bean). He’s the amigurumi version of his beloved teddy bear. Although originally he’s knit I tried to make him into amigurumi so crochet as I’m really not good in knitting. Although I actually thought about that I decided to go to the safe path.IMG_8023The pattern I made up. I don’t think I can say it’s my original as it’s clearly kind of a knock-off but I really used my imagination on how to create this amigurumi. He’s not an exact copy as it’s crochet and all. I did try to follow these pictures as guidelines. I did discover that there’s probably more than one teddy used in the Mr Bean series through the years. As the matter of fact now I’ve begun to think that this first one is not from any movies or TV series at all as it looks so different from the others. But of course I can be wrong here.mrbeanteddyI tried to make it about the same size as Bean is holding him on the top pictures and tried to assemble him as close to as it is on the bottom pictures. I also tried to follow the body proportions following all of them. My Bob’s body seems a bit large here but it’s a bit due to the angle I took these photos.IMG_8031I used Katia Bamboo yarn again which is 60% bamboo viscose, 40% cotton. I used a 2.75 mm hook as I in this case I didn’t want my amigurumi to be too firm, to make it more like Mr. Bean’s teddy that seems a bit used and shapeless. I didn’t stuff it too much either to give more of a soft touch to it. Normally my amigurumies are rather firm. But I guess it depends on an item.

I might even type this pattern in someday so everyone interested can have one. If there’s interest?

As of other stuff, I’m currently working on a brand new pattern, which you might already know if you’re following my Facebook page. It seems like it’s working up nice but I think I’m going to be tight on my main colour of yarn. We’ll see.

At work things are crazier than ever and no-one really knows what’s going to be. Looking for options here at the moment.

I have also been thinking on going to Etsy. What do you think, should I?
